Here's a little routine that centers postscript strings.

Simply pass it the text you want printed and the vertical position and the horizontal center of the page.

This procedure is freely distributable.

To center the string 'My name is Fred' on line 1 with the center at column 50:

   do print_center('My name is Fred',1,50)
