CS35: Assignment 1

CS35: Programming and Problem Solving
Ray Ontko
Department of Computer Science
Earlham College

Due Friday, 1999/08/27

  1. Read the syllabus. Identify any questions you may have about the course of study you are committing yourself to and be prepared to discuss it in detail.

  2. Fill out the Student Survey online. In addition to gathering interesting and useful information about the people in the class, I need this information to create an account for you on the Computer Science computer network. Please do this as soon as possible.

  3. Find a cool algorithm from daily life and bring it to share with the class. A simple example would be a shampoo bottle with the instructions "Lather. Rinse. Repeat." Look for one with a more detailed, or complex, or lengthy, or unusual set of instructions.
