Journal Opportunity

Nota Bene: From time to time I will suggest topics for you to consider in your Journal. You are not required to address these topics, but if you are at a loss for what to say, you may find these helpful. The "Journal Opportunities" are not "due" on the date indicated on the assignment sheet on which they appear.

Describe in great detail some moderately complex task; that is, fully describe an algorithm you know well. It need not be as complex as driving a stick shift, but should be more involved than filling a glass of water. It may be a process that involves many things going on at once, like riding a bike, or may be a serial task, like tying a fishing fly or saddling a horse.

Think about how you break the process down, the order in which you do things, any decision points that occur, and any repetition which may be present in the process.
